HOW IPL PHOTO FACIAL WORKS
This Laser treatment uses intense pulsed light energy that is absorbed by the skin to treat benign skin conditions. IPL will lighten/fade away any unwanted brown spots, freckles, blood vessels, angiomas, scar pigmentation and uneven skin coloring and improve overall skin tone. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve desired result.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Pregnancy, tanned skin, currently on Accutane or were on it within the last 6 months, use of any photosensitizing medication 7-10 days before your treatment, Epilepsy, Diabetes,Chemotherapy or radiation therapy, pacemaker, internal defibrillator, any internal metal device in the area being treated, HIV positive (letter of clearance from doctor will be required), Multiple Sclerosis (letter of clearance from doctor will be required), Scleroderma, Lupus, Sarcoidosis.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR TREATMENT
All topical retinols AHAs and BHAs are asked to be on hold for 5 days before your appointment. If any photosensitizing medications were taken within 7 days of your appointment we will advise you to reschedule your treatment. Sun tanning and Self tanning will be asked to be put on hold for 4 weeks before your appointment.
POST PROCEDURE
Short term side effects such as redness of the skin, mild tingling, bruising, blistering swelling and a "sunburn" type feeling are all normal and will subside within 24-48 hours. Limit sun exposure and tanning beds for 4 weeks post treatment. Do not pick at any scabbing caused by the treatment
